Clans represent the main social feature, second only to the Social System, in Dragon Mania Legends, allowing chrs to get together under the same banner and take on various activities. Upon joining a Clan, Trainers can raise a Clan Dragons with fellow Clan members and battle other Clans to achieve greater success and earn unique rewards. Clans were introduced in Update 2.0.

<section begin="clans-intro" />Clans are groups of players (on the Social System#Connections) who join forces to socialize, obtain Clan Dragons, battle other Clans, and earn Clan-Exclusive Dragons and other rewards. <section begin="accessing" />
The Clan interface can be accessed by pressing:
* The  button.
* The Clan Fortress, then the Clan button.
* The Social System button and then the Clan banner.

The Clan Fortress is the base of operations for Clans and all aspects related to them. Pressing the Clan Fortress (the physical building on the small island just south-east of the main island) causes several buttons to display, choosing the option will open the main page of member access. This page can also be accessed through the button on the left-hand side of the screen. The image of both access options will reflect the banner of the league the Clan is currently in. The Clan interface can also be accessed through the top button in the Social System interface. If the Trainer is not in a clan, this button will bring up the Join or Create a Clan option, otherwise the button displays the Clan's name, their level, their Coat of Arms, the time left until the current ongoing event is over or, conversely, the time left until the next event begins, and the Trainer's rank.
If the Trainer is not in a Clan, the Join or Create a Clan option appears, otherwise the main Clan screen appears.<section end="accessing" />

Creating or Joining a Clan
<div class="float-r" style="max-width:15%; min-width:100px;"><br><br><br><br><br><br></div>
chrs need to be, at least, Level 25 to join a Clan and Level 30 to create a Clan, and they can only be part of one Clan at the same time. In order to join or create a Clan, the Trainer must head to the Clan Fortress, select it and then press the button. From there on, a list of Clans will be displayed, as well as the panel. The same panel can be accessed through the button.

If the Trainer chooses to join a Clan, they can either select one from the available list under the panel and inspect it through the option, press the option to choose one of the Top 50 Clans, or the button to search a Clan by their name, by language, or by both. Additionally, if the Trainer is clanless, the sm button appears at the top of the panel and pressing it will randomly add the Trainer to an open Clan.
When viewing the details of another Clan as a non-member, the following can be seen: Crest, Clan name, Level, Report button, current and maximum number of members, language, description, League, membership acceptance status, member list sorting options, and a list of current members of the Clan (their name, avatar, level, rank, Dragon Collector Points, and a sm button to, depending on their privacy settings, invite, friend, check profile, report, block, or visit their Islands). Non-member action buttons also appear depending on a Clan's membership acceptance status:

If the Trainer chooses to create a Clan, the option must be chosen from the panel. In the window that pops up, they can choose the name of the Clan (the Clan name can not be changed once chosen, thus the name must be decided upon wisely), choose the Clan crest through the sm button, select the language (this represents the usual language the members communicate in and will not affect the interface of the game) through the sm button, add a description, choose the status (open, closed, or join by request) of the Clan, and enable or disable the profanity filter for the chat. When editing the crest, the top row will show only the Dragons the Trainer currently has, in the order they obtained them, while the bottom row will show only the shields that are currently available to a Level 1 Clan. When the Trainer decides on the desired Dragon and shield, the sm button must be pressed to confirm the choice. Once everything is settled upon, the button must be pressed and 1,500,000 Gold, the cost to create a Clan, must be paid.
* sm – Join the Clan (open/without approval) if there are free spots.
*sm – Apply to join (join by request) if there are free spots.
**The applicant must wait until their request is reviewed by a member with the ability to accept or reject it. Applying to multiple Clans at the same time is not possible, prior requests must be cancelled first.
**To cancel a membership request, return to where the Apply button was pressed and press it again, then press the sm button.
*No membership button is available if the status of the Clan is set to Closed.
* – Report the Clan, which provides the following options:

Member View
*Clan name - There is a limit of 24 characters for the name.
*Coat of Arms - The Clan's distinctive heraldic bearings (Dragon chosen to represent the Clan) and shield.
*Clan level - The Clan Level is determined by the amount of Clan Experience earned.
*Current experience - Experience is earned through Clan Quests.
*Clan status - The current stance on accepting members.
*Clan message (description) - A public message or motto made up by the leader (limited to 100 characters).
*Search button - Used to look through all Clans on the same server and platform.
*Settings button   - Used by members to  sm, or by Co-Leaders or Leaders to sm (details); the leader also has the option to disband the Clan through the button if they are the only person in the Clan.

If the search button is chosen, the same panel and list of Clans will be shown only that when pressing the option, aside from the top Clans, the Trainer will also see the position of their Clan as well the Clans in its vicinity.

If the leave button is chosen, the Trainer will be presented with the option to change their mind or to confirm they want to leave .
A comment box also appears that allows for further comments, or explanations/reasons in the case that the Other option is checked. The sm button can be pressed to cancel the report, or the sm button to submit it.

If the settings button is chosen, leaders and co-leaders can then press the sm button to make changes to the Clan header. This option will bring up the same window when creating a Clan, only that the option to change the name will be grayed out and more shields might be available to the Trainer, depending upon the current level of the Clan. Once the Trainer is done editing the header, they must select the button and pay the necessary cost of 150,000 Gold to proceed with saving the changes. Officers also have the option of accessing the settings, but they only have the sm option available.
Creating or Joining a Clan
chrs must be Player Level 25+ to join, or Level 30+ to create a Clan; they also can only occupy one Clan at a time. To join or create a Clan, access the Clan screen (explained above), then press the Create Clan button. A list of Clans and a search panel appear, featuring several buttons:

Non-Member View
* – Go back or cancel.
<div class="float-r" style="max-width:30%; min-width:100px;"></div>
* – List the Top (50) Clans.
* – Create Create Clan a new Clan.
* – Search Clan Search through all clans on the same server and platform, by name, language, or both.
* – Display the details of a Clan in search results.
*sm – Select a random, open Clan to join (appears above the search bar, if not already in a Clan).
* sm – Close button, to close the interface.

Creating a Clan
After pressing the button to create a new Clan, the chr must enter a Clan name, which is limited to 24 characters and cannot be changed later. An optional Clan description can be entered, limited to 100 characters, which can be changed later. Other options are as follows:
<section begin="settings" />
*Checkbox (Checked) / Checkbox – Select a status for accepting members.
**Open – Any person can join without waiting for approval if there are free spots.
**Join by request – Any person can apply but must be approved to join if there are free spots.
**Closed – No person can apply or join, and no member, regardless of rank, can send invitations (status must be changed to accept new members).

When viewing the details of a Clan as a non-member, the Trainer can see the Clan's name, its Coat of Arms, its level, the maximum number of members it can have and the current number of members it has, the language, the description and the status. If the status is set to open and there are available openings in the Clan, the sm button will be displayed and the Trainer can press it to immediately join the Clan. If the status is set to join by request and there are available openings, the sm button will be displayed and the Trainer can press it to apply to the Clan, then wait until their request is reviewed by a member with the ability to accept or reject it. Trainers can not apply to multiple Clans at the same time, thus, if they had already applied to a Clan, they have to cancel their request or wait for it to be declined before applying to another Clan. The request can be cancelled by heading back to where they applied for the Clan, selecting the sm option, then confirming by pressing the sm button. No button is available if the status of the Clan is set to closed.
* Checkbox (Checked) On / Checkbox Off – Select a profanity filter option.
* sm – Select a Clan Crest and Dragon, used to represent the Clan.
*sm – Select a Language to be used in chat, Global (any/all languages) is the default.<section end="settings" />
* – Confirm desired options and create Clan, which costs 1,500,000 Gold.

Additionally, under the Clan header, there is a list of the current members of the Clan showing their name, their avatar, their level and their rank. Next to their name, the existing option can be chosen to inspect their Islands.
Clan Crest
When selecting the Clan crest, the top row shows only Dragons the Trainer currently has, in the order obtained. The bottom row shows only the shields up to and including the highest Clan Level reached (only Level 1, initially).
*sm – Select a Dragon or Crest.

Status
Membership & Levels
A Clan can have one of three statuses to indicate their current stance on accepting members:
Clans start out with a maximum of 15 members, once certain Clan levels are reached, the limit increases. There are 15 possible Clan Levels, and increases in Clan Level also provide additional crest choices (both provided in the table below). Clan level is determined by the amount of Clan Experience, earned by members who complete Clan Quests.

*Open - Any person can join the Clan at any given time, without the need to wait for approval, as long as there are free spots.
*Join by request - Any person can apply to the Clan at any given time, as long as there are free spots, but they must receive approval in order to get into the Clan.
*Closed - No person can apply to the Clan under any given circumstances and no member, regardless of their rank, can send invitations to outside Trainers. The Clan must be set to either of the other statuses, by a person with appropriate permissions, in order to be able to accept members.
Membership
Clans start out with a maximum of 15 members allowed. Once certain levels have been reached, the limit on the number of members allowed will be increased. Various increases in Clan Level offers additional choices that can be used for the Clan's Coat of Arms.

Chat
Ranks
The Clan Chat is the interface where members can communicate to each other. It is always shown in the left of the screen whenever the front page of the Clan is accessed through either of the options. Whenever a members sends a message, their name and Clan Rank is shown, as well as the time they sent the message and the Clan Event MVP icon if they are the current MVP.
Members of a Clan can have various ranks, initially assigned by the leader. Except for the leader, there is no limit to how many other ranks a Clan can have. If the leader leaves without assigning a replacement, the highest-ranking member automatically inherits their position.

<section begin="chat" />Upon joining a Clan, new members are able to view a limited number of past messages posted to Chat (the default behavior as of Update 6.0 was 50 messages retained on new member entry, though this has been known to change in Game Updates). Clan Chat has a memory buffer that retains the limited number of posts, though once chat is viewed if a chr keeps the screen active, the number of messages retained increases until they are fully logged off. Similarly, chrs rejoining the same Clan may be able to access the full history of messages if they did not log off the game.

rowspan="2" text-align:left; |Action
When using chat, messages are written at the top of the chat interface and then sent through the button (the message can also be sent through the enter key on the keyboard). The chrs' equipped badge is shown in the left of their name. The names of other Trainers are colored in a lighter shade of blue while the main Trainer's name is not displayed. The messages of all Trainers are colored in black and those of the main Trainer are over a lighter shade of orange background while those of the other Trainers are over a light gray background. However, Trainers have the option to color their text by adding # and any number from 1 to 8 before their text. Additionally, the  Messages are limited to 512 characters and profanity is censored with asterisks.<section end="chat" /> Profanity, however, can be enabled or disabled when editing the Clan settings.
colspan="4" |Clan Rank

Apart from member messages, the Clan Chat also sends automated messages for whenever a Clan levels up or a Clan event started, who is elected the MVP of the event, who and when they completed a Legendary recipe, who joined, left or was removed from the Clan, who asks for donations, who and which Clan Dragon they changed, who and which characteristic of the Clan they changed. Automated messages are generally sent in light gray text over an even lighter gray background, but the color of text becomes green whenever a new Trainer joins the Clan.

If a Legendary recipe is completed, the automated message will be sent in white text over a purple background. During Clan events, if there are people who asked for donations, but have not received all the ingredients they asked for, whenever a Trainer is scrolling through the chat and said incomplete donation message leaves the viewable screen, the Trainer will see a number in a yellow-bordered shape Yellow-Bordered Request indicating how many people have not received all the items they have asked for. Whenever a request for ingredients appears in the chat, other Trainers can donate by pressing the sm button in the right of the requested ingredient, and can also press the button to see how many times they have donated for that day.

Whenever there is a new message, the icon will be shown in the top-right corner of the Clan-accessing option in the left of the screen.

Quests
<div class="float-r" style="max-width:10%; min-width:100px;"><br><br></div>
The Clan Quests button can be used to access the Clan Quests, which Clan Quest are various tasks that can be done by individual Clan members in between clan events to earn up to 1,000 Clan Coins per day, unlimited Power Boosters, as well as various amounts of Clan experience Clan Experience.

During clan events, Trainers are given five quest options to choose from and only one quest can be selected at a time. Once the limit for Clan Coins is reached for that day, members can still continue on doing quests to gain experience and Power Boosters.

Clan Experience & Power Boosters

Clan Experience is used to help the Clan grow in level and it no longer accumulates once the Clan reaches maximum level. Clan Power Boosters are used to Power Up the Clan Dragon. Completing Clan Quests is the only way to gain Clan Experience or Power Ups and between 90 and 130 experience can be given per quest (though limited events allow Trainers to collect double the amount of Power Ups). Additionally, these quests can be refreshed for free and will take 2 hours to do so, but the timer can be sped up with Gems. Multiple quests can be refreshed at the same time. The quest the Trainer desires to do has to be chosen by pressing the sm button. Once a quest is started, if the Trainer wishes to no longer do it, it can be refreshed through the button. Whenever the Trainer wishes to refresh through the latter button, an additional sm must be pressed to confirm the choice. When a quest is finished, a notification at the top of the screen will be shown and the Trainer must access the Clan Quest menu and then press the sm button to complete it.

There are several types of quests:

The Great Dragon Race, Emerald Wars, Sugar Rush and Clan Siege are the only available events for Clans. Clans can participate in these events only if they qualify by having a Clan Dragon fully hatched. For the duration of these events, Clan quests, in addition to the regular rewards, will give items needed for Clans to progress through the events. Clans will receive various rewards for completing milestone, as well as for their final placement at the end of the event, while the member with the highest score at the end of the event will become MVP and will receive the MVP Badge MVP Badge and an amount of Clan Coins which scales with Clan League their Clan is currently in.

Leagues
MVP
There are five different leagues into which the Clans are grouped. Each league groups Clans that are of approximately the same strength in regard to Clan Events. The league leaderboard resets at 23:00 Coordinated Universal Time after the end of a Clan Event and the scores are determined by the Clan's progress in the event. Each league has several leaderboards, each having a maximum of 100 Clans. Clans are promoted and demoted at the time mentioned in accordance to their final position on the leaderboard at the end of a Clan Event. The number of Clans that are promoted and demoted depends on the league: the top 5 Clans in League 1 are promoted to League 2; the top 10 Clans in League 2 are promoted to League 3 while the bottom 25 Clans are demoted to League 1; the top 20 Clans of League 3 and 4 are promoted to League 4 and 5, respectively, while the bottom 25 Clans of League 3 are demoted to League 2 and the bottom 35 of League 4 are demoted to League 3; the bottom 40 Clans in League 5 are demoted to League 4.<br>
The temporary rank of Clan Event MVP is awarded automatically to the highest scoring Clan member at the end of each Clan Event. The badge awarded appears in addition to, and after, any existing Clan rank.
The top 5 ranked Clans on the League 5 leaderboard get rewarded pieces of the Feather dragon as reward when the board resets, where first place gets rewarded 5 pieces and the remaining four Clans 3 pieces each.

The league a Clan is currently in affects the prizes and requirements in Clan Events. More specifically, the amount of Clan Coins received from the leaderboard and milestone are in accordance to the Clan's league while the amount of Food and Gold depends on the Level Modifier. Additionally, the Clan Coins offered to the MVP are also different. All the Milestone Card Packs offer Dragon Pieces for the same Dragons, but the amount varies in accordance to the league. The Grand Prize Card Packs offer Dragon Pieces for all Clan Dragons. However, Pieces for Kutter can be obtained only from those packs awarded in League 4 and League 5 while Pieces for Boone can be obtained only from League 5, while Feather Dragon Pieces are awarded weekly to the top 5 clans of League 5 only. The amount of Dragon Pieces rewarded by Grand Prize Card Packs depend on the Clan's final position on the leaderboard and the amount is not affected by any league. Additionally, each league gives the Clan several other shields in addition to those unlocked through leveling.
If the Clan Leader is absent/inactive for a period of 1 month, and there is no active Co-Leader, once a month on a predetermined (unknown) date, the Trainer with Clan Event MVP may be promoted one level, until there is an active Clan Leader.

<div class="float-r" style="max-width:10%; min-width:100px;"></div>
Pressing the button will show either the Enigma Egg if there is no hatched Clan Dragon or the current active Dragon. Once the first Dragon is hatched, the image of the Enigma Egg will be replaced by whichever the current active Dragon is. If the Enigma Egg is shown, the chr can press the sm button to send an egg to their Hatchery.

Clan Fortress
Once in a Clan, the chat panel appears on the left and the right side of the Clan Member view screen is broken into 7 distinct buttons or sections that can be interacted with:
Once the first Clan Dragon has been hatched, the Fortress becomes available. Pressing the image of the current active Dragon will bring up the Fortress screen. The main image shows the fort courtyard and the current active Dragon along with a smaller window describing it's power and level, as well as the option to increase the power level through the sm button.

On the bottom left of the screen are three buttons. The left-hand button brings up a window showing the Clan Fortress Power, which reduces the timers on all hatchery slots by an amount of time determined by the Fort Level:
#Clan Settings – Displays Clan details and settings.
#Clan Fortress & Events – Houses fortress functions related to Clan Dragons/Eggs, or the current Clan Event.
#Member List – Provides the Clan members list, sortable via different drop-down menu options.
#Ranking – Displays Clan competition rankings.
#Collection (Clan Dragons) – Displays all Clan Dragons.
#Clan Shop – Displays currently available shop items.
#Clan Quests – Displays the list of current Clan Quests.

- Clan Fort Level 1: 40-minute reduction
On the left is Clan Chat (see Chat for details).

- Clan Fort Level 2: 50-minute reduction
Above the 7 main Clan interface buttons appears:

- Clan Fort Level 3: 60-minute reduction
* The sm button, which provides basic information.
* The banner for the current League (when pressed, shows cards gained from Leaderboard prizes).
* The sm button, which closes the interface.

- Clan Fort Level 4: 70-minute reduction
Settings
In the Clan details panel, Leaders and Co-Leaders have access to different Clan settings, depending on their rank. This opens the same window used when the Clan was created, with the Clan name grayed out. Additional shields for crests may be available, depending upon the current Clan level.

- Clan Fort Level 5: 80-minute reduction
Functions inside settings include:
*sm – Edit previously selected Clan settings or details (Leader, Co-Leaders).
*sm – Leave the Clan (any member except the Leader).
** – Confirm leaving.
** – Cancel leaving.
* sm – Close/disband the Clan (Leader only, and only if they are the only person in the Clan).

The middle button takes the Trainer to the Clan's collection of Clan Dragons. The active Clan Dragon can also be accessed from the archipelago by clicking the Clan Fortress, then pressing the round icon displaying the current active Dragon. In this very same screen, if there is an active Clan event, the time left until its end is shown just under the name of the Clan. If there is no active Clan event, then the time displayed is the one left until the next event.
Once the sm button is pressed, the following settings appear:

* – Confirm desired options, which costs 150,000 Gold.

The right-hand button brings up a screen that shows the next Clan event type, the time until the event starts, and recommended Clan Dragons for the event based on which Clan Dragon's powers are suitable for that type of event.
Clan Fortress
Collection
Fortress Powers
<div class="float-r" style="max-width:10%; min-width:100px;"></div>
In this section, Trainers can view the collection of Clan Dragons. Dragons have a set number of matching Dragon Pieces which must be collected by the whole Clan through various Clan Events events, and require a collective Clan effort in hatching a specific number of eggs to acquire each Dragon. On this screen Trainers can sm the Clan Dragon if they have completed Clan Quests to earn Power Boosters. Additionally, Trainers with the appropriate rights can choose to, through the sm or sm buttons, which Clan Dragon is available to use for an upcoming Clan Event. Once a Clan Dragon is activated, 60 minutes must pass before it can be changed to another Dragon.

Unlike regular Dragons, Clan Dragons can not be placed in Habitats, earn Gold, or fight in battles. Instead, they have special powers that can be used when activated by Trainers with the appropriate rights to make Clan Events easier, if the appropriate Dragon for a Clan Event is activated before the event begins. Once the Event has started, the active Clan Dragon cannot be changed. Only one Clan Dragon can be active at a time and the Clan Leader, co-leaders and officers can determine which one will be available for the Clan Event. If the Clan Leader is absent for a period of 1 month and there is no active co-leader, once a month on a predetermined (unknown) date, the Trainer with the MVP Badge may be promoted one level. This could theoretically occur until the trainer is promoted to Officer, Co-Leader or Leader, and given management over the Clan and Clan Dragons. The powers of the Clan Dragon can be accessed as mentioned above or from the outside by selecting the Clan Fortress and pressing the button.

Leagues
<div class="float-r" style="max-width:10%; min-width:50px;"></div>

This button can be selected to view a list of the members of the chr's Clan. The first number represents how many members the Clan has, while the second number represents the maximum members the Clan can currently have, based on their level.
GASTop
Promotion and Demotion
Once pulled up, the list shows the image and name of each member, their rank (if they have any) and Trainer level, how many donations they have made during events, the MVP score (and badge MVP Badge if present) their MVP Score, the last time the Trainer logged into the game, and the sm button. Pressing this latter button will bring up the sm button that can be selected to visit their Islands, the sm button (only if the Trainers are not friends in the game) to ask for friendship of the Trainer, and the sm button. Additionally, if the Trainer has the appropriate permission, they will also be shown the sm option which is used to remove a Trainer from the Clan, and the sm option which is used to promote a Trainer to a certain rank.

If the status of the Clan is set to join by request, members with the right to accept or remove Clan members will have a notification displayed on the button whenever someone asks to join the Clan. The Trainer can then either decline sm or accept sm the request, or visit the applicant's Islands through the sm option.
Member List
The Members List button has two numbers on it, the first represents the current number of Clan members, the second represents the current maximum members. Pressing it provides drop-down sorting options and a list of all Clan members and their information including avatar, Player Level, Clan rank (if any), name, Dragon Collector Points, donations to other players, MVP score (and temporary MVP rank if present), Clan Power Booster points, the last time the Trainer logged in (depending on their privacy settings), and a more sm button.

If members leave a Clan to join another or rejoin the very same Clan, they will lose all the donations they have made in Clan events. Clan Coins are not lost when leaving or switching Clans.
The sorting drop-down menu provides options for sorting members by:
*MVP Score (last Clan Events score), time since last online, Dragon Collector Points, Clan Rank, Donation, Clan Power Boosters used, and Applicants (if ranked and membership status is set to requests).

Ranks
The sm button on each player's listing provides additional functions:
Members of a Clan, other than the leader, can have various ranks within their Clan. These ranks are initially assigned by the leader.

Leader Leader - Has full authority, being able to remove or accept any member, edit the ranks of any member, manage the Clan Dragon, edit the information about the Clan, enable participation in upcoming Clan Events, and even disband the Clan.
*sm – Send a Social System#Friends invite (appears if not already friends in-game).
* sm – Visit the chr's islands.
*sm – Check the Trainer's profile.
* – Report the player (see Reporting).
* – Block the player (see Blocking).

Co-Leader Co-Leader - Second-in-command after the leader; can do everything the leader does, except disbanding the Clan. Additionally, a co-leader can not edit the ranks of the leader or other co-leaders nor kick them, but can promote other members to co-leaders.
Ranked members see further functions, depending on their rank:

Officer Officer - Has the right to remove elders or regular members, can accept new members into the Clan, can edit the ranks of elders and regular members, enable participation in upcoming Clan Events, and can manage the Clan Dragon.
*sm – Remove from Clan.
*sm – Promote to another Clan Rank.
*sm – Accept non-member request to join (if Clan status is Join by request).
*sm – Decline non-member request to join (if Clan status is Join by request).

Elder Elder - Honorific position within the Clan, having no special attributes.
Competition Ranking
The Competition Rankings (represented by 1,2,3) button displays rankings as follows:
* – List the Top Clans on the Platform and server, by monthly ranking.
* – List the Clan Leagues by Leaderboard scores (ongoing events only).
* – List the Clan MVP and scores of all other Clan members (current event if ongoing, or last event if not).

With the exception of the leader, there is no limit to how many of the other ranks a Clan can have. If the leader leaves their Clan without assigning a replacement, the highest-ranking member of the Clan will automatically inherit their position. If there are two or more people with the highest rank, the one with the most donations in Clan Events receives the leader rank. Additionally, if the leader shows no sign of activity within 2 weeks and there is no active co-leader, the MVP will automatically receive the co-leader rank.
Collection
The Collection option provides a list of currently owned Clan Dragons.

Competition Ranking
Clan Dragons
<div class="float-r" style="max-width:10%; min-width:50px;"></div>

Pressing this button will bring up the tab, the tab and the tab.

The first tab is for the monthly rankings of the Clans on the same platform and server. chrs can view the time left before the monthly rankings are reset as well as the rankings of the Top 50 Clans and the Clans that are in the vicinity of the Trainer's Clan in rankings. The ranking scores are made up of the points accumulated by members from cooking recipes and feeding them to Clan Dragons in The Great Dragon Race, from damaging the opposing Towers and Clan Dragon during a Clan Siege and from feeding Shakes to Clan Dragons during a Sugar Rush.
Hatching
For each Clan, the Clan's level, the number of members, their score, their language, and a button for accessing the Clan details are given.

The second tab is for accessing the current Clan League leaderboard.
Actions
The last tab is for the Clan Event MVP rankings. Here, the members of a Clan can see their own scores during whichever is the current ongoing event and the time left for the event. Once the event is over, the information will still be visible until the start of the next event.
Clan Shop
The shop houses a selection of items that can be purchased using Clan Coins.
Note: Available items and quantities are subject to change.

If a Great Dragon Race event is ongoing, the first column will show the total score score each individual Trainer amassed from feeding recipes to the Clan Dragon while the second column will show how many recipes each Trainer has cooked so far. If a Clan Siege event is ongoing, the first column will show the total damage each individual Trainer dealt to the opposing Clan's base, namely all the five towers and the Clan Dragon, while the second column will show how many sprites each Trainer have summoned so far. The third and fourth column will show the same information for both types of events. The third column will show the amount of Clan Quests each Trainer completed during the ongoing event while the fourth and last column will show how many times each Trainer donated ingredients.
Clan Quests
<noinclude>InProgress
{{issue|Update 7.8 reintroduced the bug resolved in 7.7.2, where pressing the Clan Quests button displays quests but not the active Clan event tasks, instead displaying Clan Chests, hindering Trainers' ability to participate in Clan events. The Clan Quests option provides a list of tasks Clan Quest individual Clan members can complete between or during Clan Events to earn personal rewards and help the clan. Between Clan Events, Clan Quests earn individual players up to 1,000 Clan Coins per day, up to 1,600 Clan Trinkets, and unlimited Power Boosters and Clan Clan Experience.

Card Packs
During Clan Events, Trainers are given multiple quest options to earn items needed for the event. Quests auto-start and up to 5 quests (the limit of the quest display) can be completed at a time, though they can be refreshed with a wait time, to produce alternate quests. Once the Clan Coins and Clan Trinkets daily limit is reached, quests can be continued for Clan Experience only (Power Boosters cannot be collected during Clan Events).

Gifts
Quest Types
In addition to the other benefits of being part of a Clan, members will receive a gift whenever one of their Clan members purchases Gems, directly or indirectly, during a so called Gift Giver Event. There are five different gifts and the gift that is to be awarded depends on the number of Gems that were purchased. This event is a promotion that is only made available occasionally and for a limited time, usually no longer than 3 days.
There are several types of quests:

*Clan name, level and descriptions
*Number of members/maximum number of members allowed
*The button for accessing the Clan rankings
*Clan management buttons (Edit Clan and Manage Members)

As up to 1,600 Clan Trinkets can be collected a day, and the milestones require only 1,200 to reach the end, the milestones restart each time the end is reached. Milestone progress continues on the restarted milestones until the daily maximum trinkets is reached, after which time only claiming Trinket Gifts can continue to advance the progress bar as they do not count towards the personal Clan Trinkets limit.

When a trinket gift milestone is reached, the gifting Trainer receives a notification that Clan Trinkets have been sent to every Clan mate. A message also appears at the top of the Clan Chat window, for the other Trainers, which allows the claiming of 10 Clan Trinkets from every member who has recently reached that milestone. The sm Claim button must be pressed to claim Clan Trinket Gifts. <section end="quest milestones" />

<big>Notes</big>
Clan Trinkets
<references />
Clan Trinkets Clan Trinkets are an additional In-Game Currency specific to Clans, that allow Clan members to reach Clan Quest milestones and obtain keys for Clan Chests.

Clan MVP
Clan Trinkets and Clan Chests

Each month an MVP MVP was picked based on Loyalty Scores Loyalty amassed during the previous month. The MVP received 750 Clan Coins as a reward. The Loyalty Score was individual and was raised when an individual helped complete a quest. All Loyalty points were lost when a Trainer leaved a Clan to join another and were not gained back if the Trainer rejoined the same Clan. Clan Coins earned were retained regardless of what Clan was joined. The Loyalty Scores were discontinued with this update.
Clan Experience & Power Boosters
Clan Experience Clan Experience helps the Clan rise in level, it stops accumulating when the maximum Clan level is reached. Clan Power Boosters Power Boosters are used to Power Up the Clan Dragon. Completing Clan Quests is the only way to earn either, and between 90 and 130 is given of each (though limited events are featured providing double Power Boosters).

Event MVP
Clan Chest Events
The Clan Event MVP Clan Event MVP received points based on each event task completed. As all Clans of the same server and platform competed in the same event, each of the MVP of the top three Clans of the event received the normal event reward for Clan placement as well as a five-card pack.
Clan Chests
Clan Rankings
Membership Benefits
In addition to receiving Clan Card Packs for Clan-Exclusive Dragons and use of the Fortress Powers, Clan members can also receive Gifts, buy items from the Clan Shop, participate in Clan Chat, grow additional Clan Food exclusive to Clans, and request Donations of Enchantment Materials from members.

The monthly Clan score ranking was comprised of the collective amount of Loyalty Scores earned from Clan Quests. Starting with this Update 2.6, the Clan rankings are based on scores earned from completing recipes in The Great Dragon Race, a new type of Clan event.
Gifts
Clan Events
Clan Food
Additional types of Food can be grown by Clan members, including Clan Sour Cone, Clan Blue Hazel, Clan Star Fruit, and Clan Royal Fig.
These food options take the same amount of time to cultivate, but they yield more food.

Before Update 2.6, there were three different types of Clan Events, namely Settle the Score, Feel the Fury, and Winner Takes All. Each ran one after another in different weeks and had different milestones along with rewards for reaching them and a different thematic. The Clan Events tab showed a map of the milestones of the current event. A brief description was given above the map on what the task was for the current event along with a countdown clock for the time remaining. The score for the event along with rankings were shown at the top. Rewards included Clan Coins, Food and Gold. Starting with Update 2.6, these events have been replaced with The Great Dragon Race event.

Clans are groups of players (on the same platform and server) who join forces to socialize, obtain Clan Dragons, battle other Clans, and earn Clan-Exclusive Dragons and other rewards. The Clan Fortress (the physical building South-East of the main island) is the base of operations for Clans.

Accessing

Clan Button (Social).png

The Clan interface can be accessed by pressing:

  • The Clans Icon.png button.
  • The Clan Fortress, then the Clan Button.png button.
  • The Social System Icon.png Social System button and then the Clan banner.

If the Trainer is not in a Clan, the Join or Create a Clan option appears, otherwise the main Clan screen appears.

Non-Member View

Clan Header (Non-Member View).png

When viewing the details of another Clan as a non-member, the following can be seen: Crest, Clan name, Level, Report button, current and maximum number of members, language, description, League, membership acceptance status, member list sorting options, and a list of current members of the Clan (their name, avatar, level, rank, Dragon Collector Points, and a ••• button to, depending on their privacy settings, invite, friend, check profile, report, block, or visit their Islands). Non-member action buttons also appear depending on a Clan's membership acceptance status:

  •   Join   – Join the Clan (open/without approval) if there are free spots.
  •   Apply   – Apply to join (join by request) if there are free spots.
    • The applicant must wait until their request is reviewed by a member with the ability to accept or reject it. Applying to multiple Clans at the same time is not possible, prior requests must be cancelled first.
    • To cancel a membership request, return to where the Apply button was pressed and press it again, then press the Cancel Request button.
  • No membership button is available if the status of the Clan is set to Closed.
  • Report Report Icon.png – Report the Clan, which provides the following options:
  • Checkbox Icon.png Clan Name
  • Checkbox Icon.png Clan Description
  • Checkbox Icon.png Other

A comment box also appears that allows for further comments, or explanations/reasons in the case that the Other option is checked. The Cancel button can be pressed to cancel the report, or the OK button to submit it.

    • Open – Any person can join without waiting for approval if there are free spots.
    • Join by request – Any person can apply but must be approved to join if there are free spots.
    • Closed – No person can apply or join, and no member, regardless of rank, can send invitations (status must be changed to accept new members).
  • Checkbox (Checked) Icon.png On / Checkbox Icon.png Off – Select a profanity filter option.
  •   Edit   – Select a Clan Crest and Dragon, used to represent the Clan.
  •   Change   – Select a Language to be used in chat, Global (any/all languages) is the default.

Clan Crest

Crest.jpg

When selecting the Clan crest, the top row shows only Dragons the Trainer currently has, in the order obtained. The bottom row shows only the shields up to and including the highest Clan Level reached (only Level 1, initially).

  •   Use   – Select a Dragon or Crest.

Membership & Levels

Clans start out with a maximum of 15 members, once certain Clan levels are reached, the limit increases. There are 15 possible Clan Levels, and increases in Clan Level also provide additional crest choices (both provided in the table below). Clan level is determined by the amount of Clan Experience Icon.png Clan Experience, earned by members who complete Clan Quests Icon.png Clan Quests.

Clan Fortress

Enigma Egg Button.png

Clan Event Button.png

In the Clans interface, the Clan Fortress button houses all functions related to the Clan Fortress Powers, Clan Dragons, and Clan Events. This button features an Enigma Egg if the clan is new or has a Clan Dragon needing to be hatched, or it features the current active Dragon if no hatching is needed. Once a Clan dragon is hatched, the Clan is eligible to play in events and the Clan Fortress button may also display one or more countdowns timers. Countdown timers include days until event participation opt-in, the next event, or the current event's end. From outside a Clan, if a Clan Event is in-progress the Clan Dragon Button.png button appears depicting the currently active Clan Dragon; this button provides a shortcut to directly access the Clan Fortress screen.

Pressing the Clan Fortress option opens the Clan Fortress courtyard, displaying the current egg or active Dragon and other buttons:

  • Powers Button.png – Open the Clan Fortress Powers, which depend on Fortress Level.
  • Collection 2 Button.png – Open the Clan Dragons Collection.
  • Next Event Button.png – Show the next Clan Event type, time until start, and recommended Clan Dragons for the event (appears only between events).
  • Hatching Event Icon.png Hatch – Hatch a Clan Dragon egg (appears only if there are eggs to hatch).
  • Power Boosters Icon.png Power Up! – Opens the Clan Dragons screen to use Power Boosters to power up the Clan Dragon (appears between Clan Events).
  • Clan Tyrant Chest.png Clan Chest – Displays a Clan Chest Clan Chest Key Icon.png655/1,000 key count progress bar and down arrow for more information if a Clan Chest Event is in-progress, or an "Available soon" message if one isn't in-progress.

At the left edge of the screen also appears:

Fortress Powers

Though the fortress cannot be upgraded by individual Trainers, it is leveled collectively by member actions within a Clan, and has powers. The Clan Fortress powers are used individually; this means only members of a Clan can use Clan Fortress powers. Fortress powers can be used by Clan members even if no Clan Dragon is hatched.

Fortress Levels/Upgrading

The Clan Fortress has 5 levels, tied directly to Clan League. The higher a Clan places in Clan Leagues, by participating in Clan Events, the greater the Fortress benefits for individual members.

Events

Clan Events are limited-time competitions Clans can participate in only if they have a fully hatched Clan Dragon. Clan members work together to reach milestones, compete against each other and other Clans, to earn rewards. For the duration of the event, Clan Quests give items needed for Clans to progress through the event, in addition to the regular rewards.

There are 4 types of Clan events, Clan Siege Icon.png Clan Siege, The Great Dragon Race Icon.png The Great Dragon Race, Sugar Rush Icon.png Sugar Rush, and Emerald Wars Icon.png Emerald Wars. Clan events begin on Mondays at 09:00 UTC and end Fridays at the same hour. On rare occasions, these events occur during the weekend. Members who joined the clan after an event starts, cannot participate and have to wait until the next event.

Leagues

Clans are grouped into 5 different leagues of approximately the same strength. Each league has several leaderboards, each having a maximum of 100 Clans. The current Clan league affects the prizes and requirements in Clan Events. Leagues 2–5 provide a Clan Fortress power bonus, that increases as higher leagues are reached. Some leagues also give the Clan several shields in addition to those unlocked through leveling:

Collection

Collection Button.png

The Collection option provides a list of currently owned Clan Dragons.

Clan Dragons

Clan Dragons are unique Dragons that are only obtained in, and belong to, a Clan. Each Clan receives an Enigma Egg when the Clan is created, this egg houses Chip, the first of 9 clan Dragons earned by obtaining Card Packs in Clan Events.

Clan Dragons cannot be placed in Habitats, fought with in individual battles, or sold. Clan Dragons have a Rarity but no Dragon Codex entry, no Elements, and they give no experience nor DCP. Instead, they have Powers that can be activated before a Clan Event starts, making events easier, though it cannot be changed after the event begins.

See Clan Dragons for a list of Clan Dragon and their Powers.

Hatching

Each Clan Dragon requires multiple eggs to be hatched, through Community Hatching where Clan members incubate and hatch the required number of eggs. The Dragon's powers are useable after the final egg is hatched.

Hatched a Clan Dragon egg by pressing the Clans Icon.png Clan button, pressing the Clan Fortress button, and then pressing Hatching Event Icon.png Hatch button. The same option is accessed from the aforementioned fortress screen, by pressing the Collection 2 Button.png Collection button then the Hatching Event Icon.png Hatch button from any Clan Dragon's snapshot. When all required eggs are hatched, the Enigma Egg is replaced by the Adult Dragon and its Clan Dragon Powers become useable.

Sticker - Cry.png
Update 7.8 reintroduced the bug resolved in 7.7.2, where pressing the Clan Quests button displays quests but not the active Clan event tasks, instead displaying Clan Chests, hindering Trainers' ability to participate in Clan events. Pressing the Clan Fortress button shows Clan event tasks to be completed, but without the quests (which are folded up), once again making Clan event participation a problematic two-step process.

Notification - Clan Quest Completed.png

The Clan Quests option provides a list of tasks Clan Quest Icon.png individual Clan members can complete between or during Clan Events to earn personal rewards and help the clan. Between Clan Events, Clan Quests earn individual players up to 1,000 Clan Coins Icon.png Clan Coins per day, up to 1,600 Clan Trinkets Icon.png Clan Trinkets, and unlimited Power Boosters Icon.png Power Boosters and Clan Clan Experience Icon.png Clan Experience.

  • Go – Brings the player to an area or building where the quest can be completed.
  • Trash Icon.png – Delete a quest (free, begins the refresh timer, takes 2 hours).
    • Skip 15 Gems Icon.png – Skips the required task refresh time by paying 15 Gems Icon.png Gems.
  •   Claim   – Claim quest rewards once completed.

Clan Quest Milestones

Sticker - Cry.png
This feature currently has multiple issues.

Regular Clan Quest Milestones Clan Trinkets Icon.png  Food Icon.png    Gold Icon.png    Clan Trinkets Gift Icon.png    Food Icon.png   Gold Icon.png appear at the top of the Clan Quests Icon.png Clan Quests window, between Clan Chest Events, and award Food Icon.png Food, Gold Icon.png Gold, or Clan Trinket Gifts Icon.png Clan Trinket Gifts at milestones 100, 300, 520, 740, 960, and 1,200 as indicated by their respective icons. As up to 1,600 Clan Trinkets Icon.png Clan Trinkets can be collected a day, and the milestones require only 1,200 to reach the end, the milestones restart each time the end is reached.

The Claim Claim button must be pressed to claim Clan Trinket Gifts.

Clan Trinkets

Clan Trinkets Clan Trinkets Icon.png Clan Trinkets are an additional In-Game Currency specific to Clans, that allow Clan members to reach Clan Quest milestones and obtain keys for Clan Chests.

See Clan Trinkets and Clan Chests for more information.

Clan Experience & Power Boosters

Clan Experience Clan Experience Icon.png helps the Clan rise in level, it stops accumulating when the maximum Clan level is reached. Clan Power Boosters Power Boosters Icon.png are used to Power Up the Clan Dragon. Completing Clan Quests is the only way to earn either, and between 90 and 130 is given of each (though limited events are featured providing double Power Boosters).

Clan Chest Events

Clan Chests are both a type of chest and a time-limited competition in which chests can be obtained collectively by members of a Clan. Once obtained, the chests provide rewards to Clan members individually, who qualify to open them. Clan Chest events begin on Mondays at 09:00 UTC and end 21 days later, on a Friday, at the same hour.

Clan Chests

For the duration of the event, the regular milestone rewards change, and certain milestones (100, 300, 520, 740, 960 and 1200) additionally award Clan Trinkets Icon.pngClan Chest Key Icon.png  Clan Chest Key Icon.png  Clan Chest Key Icon.png  Clan Trinkets Gift Icon.png  Clan Chest Key Icon.png  Clan Chest Key Icon.png  Clan Chest Keys. Milestones are reached daily by individual Trainers, but the keys earned are added to the collective Clan Chest Keys Clan Chest Key Icon.png256/1,000 pool.

The event milestones repeat when the end is reached, and trinkets accrue again until the daily trinkets maximum. The personal Clan Trinkets maximum resets daily at 03:00 UTC. A minimum number of keys must be acquired collectively for each chest type to be obtained. Each chest type also has a personal key amount minimum, for individual Trainers to open an obtained chest.

Clan Chests come in different rarities, and can only be accessed one at a time, in order from least to most rare. Each subsequent Chest features a greater set of rewards, up to the Tyrant chest. When the time runs out, chest progress resets. After all chests have been opened, no further chests or chest rewards can be obtained until the next chest event begins.

The amount of Food or Gold awarded depends on Trainer Level, provided numbers are of the highest Level Modifier. See Level Modifier for more information.

Chat

Sticker - Blush.png
The following article is in development.
The information may be incorrect or incomplete, and may change without warning.
Clan Chat.jpg

Clan Chat is an interface used to communicate with other members of a Clan. The Chat interface appears on the left of the main Clan screen. After joining a Clan or as a member, a limited number of past messages remain in chat (50). However, if the screen stays active, the number of retained messages increases until full log-off.

Clan Chat sends automated messages when:

  • The Clan levels up.
  • A Clan event starts or participation period becomes active.
  • MVP is rewarded.
  • A Legendary recipe is completed.
  • A Clan member joins, leaves, or is removed.
  • Donation are newly requested, or not fully completed.
  • The Clan Dragon is changed.
  • Clan settings
  • A Clan Trinkets gift is available to claim.

Messages are sent by selecting the text input field, typing a message, and then pressing either the Return button on the keyboard, or the Chat Send Icon.png button. Messages sent display Clan member name, rank, equipped badge, time sent, the ••• button for report Report Icon.png and Block Block Icon.png options, and the MVP Icon.png icon if the member is the current MVP. Messages are limited to 512 characters, and profanity is censored with asterisks.

The color of text is changed by adding a # symbol immediately followed by any number from 1 to 9, then the desired text to color. Profanity filtering is enabled or disabled by members of the appropriate Clan rank, who can edit the Clan settings.

Donations

During Clan Events Clan members can request help from, or help other, Clan members through donation. A limited number of event items, earned through the completion of Clan Quests, can be donated to other players.

When a donation request appears in chat, pressing the   Donate   button at the right of the request allows donation. The i button on the request displays how many donations the Trainer has made that day, and how many remaining donations can be made.

If members leave a Clan, their donation counter resets, even if they re-join the same Clan; however, Clan Coins are not lost when leaving or switching Clans.

Enchantment Material can be requested from Clan members by pressing the Enchantment Materials Icon.png Request Material button in Clan Chat. The Trainer can request either 16 fair or 2 average materials at once, every 24 hours. Once sent, the Trainer must wait either until a Clan mate has donated the requested material, or until 24 hours has passed, before a new request can be sent. Donators receive 1 Enchanted Trinket for 1 Fair Material, and 6 Enchanted Trinkets for 1 Average Material in exchange for donation, and can donate up to a maximum of 24 times per day. Legendary, Primal, Divine, and Ancient materials cannot be requested or donated, except for extremely rare special occasions.

If a requestor does not receive all materials asked for, a Purple-Bordered Enchantment Request Icon.png notification stays on-screen while scrolling through chat messages. This notification indicates how many people have not received all the items asked for.

This feature has a bug.

Fair Materials - Divine.png Not available Fair Materials - Ancient.png Not available Fair Materials - Tyrant.png Not available
  1. Fair Primal materials don't exist in-game but can still be requested as part of an unfixed bug. Requesting such nonexistent materials causes the request to stay stuck in chat for 24 hours, despite not being fulfillable. This probably occurs because the request screen shares an interface with Average Primal materials, which do exist, and both were not made unavailable as was done for Legendary, Divine, Ancient, and Tyrant materials.

Fair Materials - Divine.png Not available Fair Materials - Ancient.png Not available Fair Materials - Tyrant.png Not available
  1. Average Primal materials exist but probably shouldn't be requestable, since they appear to share an interface with the nonexistent Fair materials that can be requested despite not existing (a bug).
Blocking, Unblocking, Reporting

As in other areas of the game, players can be blocked, unblocked, or reported from inside a Clan. Once blocked, nothing can be received from that Trainer. Blocking also prevents the Trainer from seeing the player's name, profile, or other information in other areas of the game except the Block List tab. Not seeing a blocked Trainer's information includes on leaderboards or inside Clans, though it does not hide their listing entirely; a generic listing is seen where "Blocked Player" text replaces the Trainer's name, their avatar is replaced by the Block Icon.png icon, other information is removed, and an Unblock button appears on the right of their listing. Pressing the Unblock button instantly unblocks. Furthermore, blocked Trainers cannot be visited, their Dragons cannot be seen to be hired, and a blocked Trainer's profile also can't be viewed until they've been unblocked.

Blocking

Blocking a player is done by pressing the ••• button in any area of the game where Trainer information appears, pressing the Block Block Icon.png button, then confirming the choice by pressing the Yes button.

Unblocking

Unblocking a Trainer is done either in the Block List as explained above, or by pressing the ••• button in any area of the game where Trainer's information appears, then pressing the Unblock button (unblocking is instant after pressing this button).

Reporting

Reporting a Trainer is done by pressing the ••• button in any area of the game where player information appears, then pressing the Report Report Icon.png button. A Report screen appears with four available checkboxes for report reasons:

  • Checkbox.png Hack/Cheat
  • Checkbox.png Player Name
  • Checkbox.png Player Avatar
  • Checkbox.png Other

A comment box also appears that allows for further comments, or explanations/reasons in the case that the Other option is checked. The Cancel button can be pressed to cancel the report, or the OK button to submit it.
